Fr. Joshua Waltz is a priest of the Catholic Diocese of Bismarck, ND.
Ordained alongside his brother in 2007, Fr. Waltz served as the diocese's Director of Vocations from 2013 - 2020
Fr. Joshua Waltz received his bachelors of sacred theology in Rome at the Pontifical College of St. Thomas Aquinas. During this time he also obtained a master’s degree in moral theology with an emphasis in bioethics. Fr. Waltz spent the first six years of his priesthood teaching theology at St. Mary’s Central High School in Bismarck, North Dakota and served as chaplain of the high school. He is has taught a class in spirituality at the University of Mary.
Fr. Waltz was assigned as the pastor of the Church of St. Joseph in Mandan, ND in July of 2018. At the Church of St. Joseph, he has been been the driving force behind the new St. Joseph Catholic Montessori School which made the change over in the fall of 2020.
